Construction was completed in 1412, but the palace has been burned down, reconstructed, destroyed, and rebuilt many times. Throughout its history it has continued to maintain its original design despite all of the reconstruction, and today 13 buildings stand on the palace grounds. In 1997 Changdeokgung was added to the UNESCO World Heritage List for being an "outstanding example of Far Eastern palace architecture and garden design."} โš’๐ŸŒณ๐Ÿ’™
